A Memorial Requiem Mass for His late Most Eminent Highness Fra Andrew Bertie was celebrated at the Brompton Oratory on 22 April; HRH the Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior of the Order of Saint John attended.
His Eminence the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster was robed and seated in Sanctuary and the Mass was celebrated by His Excellency the Archbishop of Glasgow, Principal Chaplain of the Association, assisted by Fr Ronald Creighton-Jobe (chaplain knight Jure Sanguinis).
HMEmH FrÓ Matthew Festing, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta read the prayer of the Order, and HIRH Archduke Sigismond, Grand Duke of Tuscany and Grand Master of the Order of St Stephen and HRH Princess Michael of Kent were also present.
Lord Norreys, knight of Justice, represented the Constantinian Order. M. Jean-Pierre Mazery, Grand Chancellor of theSMOMattended, FrÓ Fredrick Crichton-Stuart, Grand Prior of England, read the lesson and Monsignor Anthony Conlon, Principal Chaplain of the Grand Priory of England of the SMOM, preached the sermon.
Others present included Mr and Mrs Peregrine Bertie, Mr and Mrs Michael Dormer (knight and dame of Justice), Ambassador John Bellingham, Prince de la Rochefoucauld-Montbel (knight of Justice), Prince and Princess Rupert zu Loewenstein (bailiff grand cross and dame grand cross of Justice of the Order) other members of the Order of Malta, the Constantinian Order and the Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
