His Illustrious Highness Alexander, Count and Lord of Schönburg, Count and Lord zu Glauchau u.Waldenburg, was admitted as a knight of Justice on 4 July 2009.

Count Schönburg, the head of this line of the mediatised sovereign house of Schönburg is a journalist; he is married to Her Highness Princess Irene of Hesse, whose father, Prince Karl-Adolf of Hesse is a first cousin of HRH the Prince of Wales.

He is the uncle of HSH Albert, Fürst von Thurn und Taxis, recently admitted to the Order as a knight of Justice.
