D. MARISOL DE BAVIERA, COUNTESS OF ODIEL DIED IN NOVEMBER 2005

S.A. D. María Solange, Principessa José-Eugenio di Baviera, Contessa di Odiel, nata de Mesía y Lesseps, Dame Grand Cross of Justice of the Constantinian Order and a daughter of the Count and Countess de la Roca (a descendant of the builder of the Suez Canal, Ferdinand de Lesseps), has died at the age of 94.

She married on 28th July 1933 as his morganatic wife HRH the Infant José Eugenio de Baviera y Borbón (died 1966), by whom she had two daughters and two sons.

She received from King Alfonso XIII the title of Countess of Odiel, as a courtesy title for her life.
