(Portugese and Brazilian Association) The Portuguese Commission has considerably expanded under the leadership of His Excellency the Sereníssimo Senhor Dom Filipe, Count of Rio Grande, Bailiff Grand Cross and Delegate in Portugal. Since 1999, the Portuguese Commission has celebrated the principal feast days of the Order annually, both Saint George s Day (April 23rd) and Saint Charles Borromeo s Day the Day of our Grand-Master s Name (November 4th) when the new Knights and Dames are invested. These ceremonies usually take place in Lisbon, in the Church of the Convent of the Holy Body (the Portuguese Commission s Chaplaincy), in the Patriarchal See of Lisbon, and in the Basilical Church of Our Lady of the Martyrs. A Mass for Saint Charles Borromeo, commemorative day of the present Constantinian Grand Master was celebrated On November 8th 2008, in the Basilical Church of Our Lady of the Martyrs (Lisbon), attended by His Royal Highness the Serenissimo Senhor. Dom Miguel of Bragança, Duke of Viseu, and a delegation of the Portuguese Association of the Sovereign and Military Order of Malta. On March 27th 2010, a Mass was celebrated in the Basilical Church of Our Lady of the Martyrs, attended by the Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duichess of Calábria, accompanied by the Grand Chancellor His Excellency Ambassador D. Carlos Abella, Bailiff Grand Cross of Justice and attended by HRH Dom Miguel of Bragança, Duke of Viseu, and HIRH. Archduke Joseph Arpád of Áustria.
