R.P. Prof. Jean Malget

Jean Nicolas MALGET
Chapelain of Merit  
 
born 23.1.1931 in Buschdorf (Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
 
He studied philosophie and theologie at the Priestseminar in Luxembourg from 1952-1958, and got consecrated as a priest in the Luxembourg Cathedral in 1958.
 
He is a retired High School professor and he is in charge of the Ehlerange parish since 1970.
 
Author of hundreds articles and books of church and local history, he is also a member of the Board of the Cercle Pierre Roberti, Luxembourg Ex-libris Society.
 
He got awarded with the Mérite Culturel of Sanem-Belvaux Community and with the german cultural award Rheinlandtaler .
 
He is since 1980 a permanent collaborator of the Luxembourg magazine Heimat und Mission .
 
Membre effectif de l Institut grand-ducal de Luxembourg, section de linguistique, d'ethnologie et d onomastique and Membre correspondant de l Institut grand-Ducal, section historique .
 
He is an Officer of the Ordre Grand-ducal de la Couronne de Chêne , Commander of the Ordre Grand-ducal du Mérite and Commander of Merit of the Order of the Österreichische Albert Schweitzer Gesellschaft .
